Hey guys, been a while but I'm back with a new ride! I purchased an 85 Grand Prix and currently swapped to a cold case radiator with dual fans(part# vdo fa70020). The fans came with a caspers electronics wiring harness(part# 109069) for a GN/turbo regal. I'm fairly wiring illiterate so to speak...
I have a pair of 706 heads I'm putting on an lm7. Been trying to get at least a rough estimate of what it's going to cost to have them worked over. Hot tanked, PAC 1518 springs in stock retainers and possibly new valves.
Do valves need replaced or would they clean them? They're fine just...
just wondering what the lightest you've all gotten your cars to. Just got a message from my fab guy saying my 86 cutlass without engine and trans is 1300. It should weigh in right at 2000 after install.
It seems g bodies are flooded with 3 major styles of swaps and that's about it. Sbc, bbc and ls swaps. Hell mine is getting a turbo ls so not trash talking, it just starts to get mundane. Anybody have anything really unique they've seen around or better yet done?
I'm thinking after the cutlass...
my body guy is going to be hanging new fiberglass doors and welding in a new quarter panel. He said he'd get back in a couple days with prices on everything and that he was going to cut me a deal since he's making some one off pieces for the build. What would be some roundabout prices for this...
some of you may have seen The thread 86 442 rebirth and the slow but steady progress being made. The boys in NASCAR use to fit 27x10-15s on all 4 corners.... it's something I've wanted since starting the project.
Is it a simple clearance issue with back spacing, inner fender rub, wheel arch...
Was hoping for some inspiration from you guys on here but nobody seems to have aftermarket pedal assemblies or anything really trick. my cutlass is getting an aluminum floor/firewall and I was looking for cool ideas, any would help but as of now wilwoods clutch/brake pedal setup...
i know its been posted about before but I'm a very visual learner and would love help via pictures/short tutorial by you great men. I want to run a return style system for my 5.3 swap to this tank...
cant seem to find an answer yet but I'm interested in getting a trz lightweight steering column. My cutlass is currently being built to compete in road racing and we're looking to go aftermarket for the column. Will their column work or am I going to pull a shake and bake and be screaming for...
New here just posting a new build. Bought an 86 442 a few months ago and started a frame off. Car had been painted(badly) a black cherry and had a bondo'd quarter panel. Frame has been repainted. Tubular upper and lower control arms, qa1 coil overs front and rear along with ssm rear control arms...
Hey everyone! Long time site stalker here finally signing on. Lol. Bought a badly repainted 86 442 a few months ago, went to pull up the carpet to replace and realized there was a severe lack of floorboard so new carpet turned into a full on restomod.... Should have become addicted to drugs...
