LS heads, cost for work.

I have a pair of 706 heads I'm putting on an lm7. Been trying to get at least a rough estimate of what it's going to cost to have them worked over. Hot tanked, PAC 1518 springs in stock retainers and possibly new valves.

Do valves need replaced or would they clean them? They're fine just dirty. Thanks everyone.

I didn't know that. My first time messing with aluminum. These things look like they were rolled down a hill. Lol.
Is it 300 per head or pair???

per head, they are all over ebay. I did a case once where the service manager from the dealer said they acid bathed a head from an Austin Mini trying to clean it...I asked them how much of the aluminum head was left after the bath

some places will take yours as a core and hand you a rebuilt set. I think the cores are worth $60 each

Why can't you hot tank aluminum? Had always assumed it was just super hot water bathe with some cleaner or along those lines.

The acids they use in the hot tank process eats aluminum
