HELP 1/2 inch Fuel line help

Often times the circle tracks guys like to run really large gas lines for two reasons. One, extra fuel so you can go longer between fill ups during a race. Two, fuel starvation inside the tank and having a large line will minimize the effects of it.

The engine did come out of a car that ran circle track! Thanks all for the replies!

1/2" line is useless even if you need it if everything related to fuel is not 1/2"
