1" tall transmission mount?

Steve,
Thanks for the idea. I considered two hockey pucks. On under each bolt hole in the transmission tailhousing. My concern at this point is that any through bolt setup is going to only approximate the isolation/freedom of movement you get with a true transmission mount. I think I'm going to pull the crossmember and modify it so a stock mount will work. I don't want a cobbled together solution so I'm just going to have to do it right.

No need to thank me for any of my suggestions, just let me know what works. If you recall I modified a stock x member and I would like to change it so I'm basically trying to help you to save me some work to figure out what works..😀

Something was wasn't asked, do you have the crossmember directly mount to the frame or are you using rubber pads/isolators? Figured I'd bring it up.

I'll keep you informed on how it works out my friend.

No the rubber pads are a V-6 thing and are not compatible with the G-Force crossmember. I had it sitting right on top of the frame. Thanks for the suggestion, though. I appreciate it.

Thanks for the suggestion TURNA. In this case, the main issue isn't tunnel clearance, though the transmission was closer to the tunnel than I wanted. The issue was insufficient operating angle at the front U-joint. My body bushings are in remarkably good condition. The G-Force crossmember slips in and out without the humps hitting the floorboards so I don't think my bushings are sagging much.
if that is the case the humps in x member will usually be hitting the floor panels
Agreed!

I got over to the storage tonight and pulled the crossmember. I brought it home. It's on the bench and will undergo the knife tomorrow night. Thanks for all the replies guys.

Since they don`t make everything for all applications ,You might just have to make your own. Maybe take some pictures and get Ideas from other members ,
