if your talking about the bushings in the ears here's a easy way to get them out...

if you are using the F body calliper brackets I had to use a 1/8" shim in-between the axle flange and bracket so the rotor was lined up with the rotor. I have the 8.2 and I think the axle tube flange is the same as on your rear end.

Lol Thanks a lot. That was real simple. I can't wait to get this done and get some pics up.

was it the olds 12 bolt rear??

actaully JBrue an olds 12 bolt is a 10 bolt on the carrier and the crown gear is a little smaller than a 12 bolt chevy, it's 8.3 compared to your 8.5...but bigger than my 8.2..

I know, the cover has 12 bolts and the ring gear has 10 bolts...As I previously posted that..I never saw where the OP said it was a Olds rear end, we were questioning if it was or not....btw, my rear has is 8.875🙂

I could be wrong but I think the only rear that has the bolt in axles in the Olds and for yours I must have been thinking of the size of the side gear...I was looking at a 12 bolt chevy rear on the weekend and they are huge..
