1970 Ford Thunderbird

Hey all. Monday night I made the trek upto Ankeny, Iowa to pick up a sweet '70 T-Bird for 650$. I'll get pics up when I can. 4 door, suicide doors, was sloppily painted black at one point, was a metallic pea green color, green interior, myriad of electrical gremlins that need solved, but it runs, drives, and halls all sorts of *ss. For 4500lbs, that 429 really gets it moving!

my brother had one years ago for a short time... don't think it had the 429 in it, but it'd move!

Thanks, and Will do. Here's a pic I took in downtown Des Moines. Security didn't take too kindly to a suspicious and mean looking boat that was louder than all hell just sitting there. So much lens flare, but it hides all the rust

1970 Ford Thunderbird "ThunderTurd", 429 Big Block, C6 Trans, peg leg 9 3/8 rear end, and lots of rot n rust. I'll get more pictures up here today if I remember.

****EDIT**** It also has the stock points distributor, but PO converted it to MSD Ignition witht he 6AL box and blaster coil. Also has a new 600cfm holley and dual flowmaster H pipe exhaust.

Love me some Fords and well, mostly Mercs...Btw, the 429 is a 385 series motor. FE's are a different beast that includes the 428 and 427. Your bird is a 360hp thunderjet. Great torque monster.
