I recently saw a guys paint results on his grand prix. He painted it white with spray cans. I must say I was impressed with the cheap paint job. Can't wait to see your pics

I plan it hitting it with 3000 grit for sure, maybe 1000 and 2000 as well. My car is a factory Sherwood Green car. The Shutter Green is very close to the factory Aspen Green colour, crazy how this worked out, maybe it was the Tremclad Green under layer, the lid looked darker than it turned out. I will post pics this weekend.

Only some of it is from the spray paint, trust me it was much worse. The rest is the underlying layers of orange peel;). I spent quite a bit of time hitting it with the orbital sander with 320 and 400 grit. I should have bought one more 5 pack of 320 grit. As long as I don't have to wear a paper bag when I drive it, I will call it a success.

Thanks. I wouldn't mind a HVLP paint gun but with the space I own it is near impossible to a proper job on it. I plan on cleaning it out, I have a 3.9 Magnum V6 that needs to go with a lot of other stuff. I am adding a wider roll up door this year. My boat is sitting on the flip up door, the current multiple layer tarps seal way better.

No HF up here, but Princess Auto ( which ironically does not sell auto parts ) tends to carry most of the same stuff as HF ( ei: chineseium tools & equipment ). Pricing is not near as good either but a great alternative to the high end stuff.

Unfortuntely, no harbor freight up here. As said Princess Auto is our alternative. That can be added to the building hot rods on Canada thread. Another thing we don't have is product selection, no doubt in part to our smaller population. Even getting Cherry Coke is hit or miss. The 12 packs of cans are non existent as are the big bottles.
