Congratulation Davies-Crag, it sure was nice to have a product, especially a fan controller work out of box. It is nice it shows what the probe is reading on the digital display and actually start where it is supposed to. I have it set as fan one is the low setting, comes on at 70C, then 10 seconds later high fans kick as fan two. The turn off at 65 and kick on again at 70 degrees, a very nice and highly rated product.

So I am converting this car to cruise control. I bought a 1978 cruise control system with the dash button. I used it for years on the 88. I stole the bracket of it for the dual vacuum and brake light switch. The bracket is big and cumbersome. The factory bracket is small and has a bend at a right angle. I modified this 88 bracket, this one does as well but needed the big sides cut off. I ordered the nearly unobtainable vacuum dump switch and the readily available 4 prong cruise brake switch.
A pic of the factory cruise bracket.

With the sides cut off, it should work.

Of course some how I lost the green solid tin core, 40 ohm wire for the Cruise Control. I see one on EBay for 79 Buick with the hard to find vacuum switch. I may have to go this route, very frustrating, more money out the door.

I finally got my properly sized, free replacement, dual terminal battery and noticed it had a green eye, haven't seen those in years. It looks so much neater without everything on the top terminals. The air cleaner grommet is different but works.

I misjudged the space on the passenger side today after a F-150 zipped in front of me in the parking lot. I coasted by but just scraped the concrete pole. I bought a Bondo brand sunction cup dent remover. It needed grease on it to get enough suction. After touch up, you can hardly tell. The rear quarters are getting done first anyways. I pulled the Qjet off and will be going through it tomorrow. I talked to the machine shop, my block is supposed to be done. Their crank guy was out sick, no hurry till I get the pistons and rods. I messaged Mark, the Mahle pistons and a bunch of other parts are getting sent next week. Finally progress!

Here is an updated pic with the A/C delete pulley. We went through it when I put in on my G body. Check out page 5 on my thread Dr Olds Burnout Machine.

I decided to paint the Pontiac Ralleye 2 rims with Duplicolor Chrome, Black was Ok. Definitely one of their better paints.
