Hey guys I've mentioned this is my 442 build thread before but I figured why not give it its own thread.

Truck specs:
1972 Chevy C10 longbed
SBC 350, TH350, 3.08 open rear
136k miles

Purchased the truck for $3000 including shipping from Rodgersville Alabama to Buffalo NY. When I got it, the truck was very original, it didnt even look like the engine had been touched or opened besides having an HEI distributor installed. All of the factory parts were still there minus the A/C compressor (it still has the factory drums and rotors all the way around with the assembly line tags). The body did have a little rust in the rockers, cab corners, and bottom of the doors so I decided to replace the panels with pieces from LMC truck.

The plan for this truck is to keep a stock appearing exterior with some new school goodies and upgrades underneath the skin. I had the th350 rebuilt with a stage 2 transgo kit and will be installing a 2000-2400 stall. I am keeping the original 4 bolt main block but it is currently in the hands of Bill Trovato at BTR being turned into a 10:1 383 with aluminum heads, mahle pistons, scat crank and rods. Cam is a comp hydraulic roller 215/215 @ .050. Comp roller rockers, edelbrock performer intake, and I'll be running the factory Q-Jet after a rebuild and freshining. Exhaust, I'm thinking headers with a Pypes Street Pro system. Suspension will be fairly stock with maybe a slight drop to keep it pretty sleeper.

Anyways here's some pics:

Thanks guys more pics to come just need to upload them. I want to actually use this truck to haul the 442 to the track if I ever decide to make it a track car. I just think it would look cool going down the road, better than a new truck hauling the car. But at the same time it will be clean enough to stick in a show to be judged 8)

Cool factory AC. That's probably not too common. We had one as a shop truck when I worked at my uncle's shop many years ago. They're great trucks. His was manual steering and manual drum brakes with a 4 speed and a really stiff clutch. Yours is practically a Cadillac in comparison.

Thanks! The other truck thats kind of in the picture belongs to a guy I work with. Its a 1971 C20 with a 402 big block, th400, dana 60 rear, and toolbox built into the passenger bed side. Its all stock aside from wheels, and a few engine pieces. Its his daily driver and has had about 35k miles put on it since may 2011. He also uses it to pull his 1929 28' Hacker Craft from Buffalo to Lake George. Its a great ride pullin the boat with the old truck, tons of thumbs up.
