1978 Malibu Project, 4th times a charm

Ugh, door day.

Driver's has had a few heavy hits

But today was about the passenger side

I also took the time to fix stress cracks on the driver's side door, the latch was hashed and it had definitely been slammed for a while

Whipped up a plate to back the worst spot and plug welded it behind the door

We spent a few hours with my painter too going over paint chips and color codes, I think we found the colors we are going to use.

Stud gun measles and stress cracks I am all too familiar looks good though you're getting there

Groundhog day for the passenger door but finally ready for primer.

On to the driver side, less dings but the dents are deeper.

While he was working I started cleaning the nasty inner fenders from the 83' I'd parted out. Mixed up some of my magical degreaser and grabbed a scotch brite pad.

Threw them in the bay for storage for now.
