Morning, so i got tired of seening my beautiful malibu in the drive way and made moves!! Called my buddy with tow truck, made arrangments with my transmission shop and on her way she goes 😀 ...

I should have back by tomorrow or Saturday, we pretty much went over everthing that was going to get done, swamp trannys, drive shaft, front and rear seals replace, pan getting dropped filter and gaskets getting changed (transmission idea to just service it) only thing was the seal that goes into the yoke issue, when we pulled the drive shaft at warrens house the drive shaft came out with this silver ring that holds the drive shaft in place tight for no movement or vibrations of the drive shaft... I remember seeing it around the yoke of the drive shaft left on warrens drive shaft... My trans guys was like "theres no way that should of came out!!" Its super hard for it to come out lmao...

N E Ways he inspected the area and i took him the seal and ring bushing i bought new.. He said it looks Clean and didnt see any damage and that they will install it as well.. Once again i mentioned the overdrive and he smile and says dont worry... Not sure what they going to do, something about by passing it etc etc etc lmao... Well stay tuned

Looks like a rear tailshaft housing seal and bushing. These came out with your driveshaft? Sounds like your tailshaft housing could be worn. That bushing is a press fit, so it shouldn't have come out that easily.

Yes thats what he said, with all the banging we did to remove the drive shaft, it was bound to come out with it..  LONG STORY....but he inspected it and inserted the bushing and said it was all good that it didnt look worn out or damaged...he acutally had is work bang it in to show me..and that was done....took him like 3 mins to insert that bushing and seal...
