Next up is drilling head bolt holes from heads, from 7/16"s to 1/2" head bolts.

They do, but you need to swap the taillight lenses along with the rocket bezels. If you don't, the bezels will hit the lenses in the "rocket" area.
I have '78 taillights on both of my '80 Cutlasses.

Nowhere near to fit :/ Its way different. Guess I should have mentioned as I asked that mine is a 4door.

Bought LS valvesprings, summit claims that spring bind is at 1.085", well its 1.185" so theyre too long. 🙁

Yes, if you had've mentioned that they were going on a sedan, I would've told you right away that they wouldn't fit. Coupe and sedan taillights are totally different and will not interchange.

What kind of bulbs belong to c-pilar lights? Thinking about waking them up.

Also the bulb sockets are missing so I might need to do some custom work 😀

E: I think you call them operalights? 🙂

Test fitted the crankshaft without rear seal.

Spins nice and easy 🙂 As it should of course. Next up we are making a test piston pin from an old piston pin, so we can measure the pistons to block deck clearence.

Changed arp-studs and then I grinded of material to get the rods to same weight. Rotating assembly is going to balancer but I will try to make his job faster (cheaper for me) 🙂

Nothin' special haven't happened lately, rotating assembly is at the balancer.

Changed the cooling lines for the transmission. They used to be rubber hose, but that didn't stand the heat/pressure/atf/what ever that made it crack. So I go with the aluminium lines (I guess?) What a pain in the *ss to made them fit. Not super happy with the fitment, but I guess it will do.

I'm thinking about switching to aluminium pan for the 200-4r. Company here in Finland makes them. I think its pretty cool 🙂

Oh and I did change the MTV down spring to looser one, just finetuning the transmission, want to make it work just the way I want it.
