The lssimple stuff is very nice, i just cant justify speding $200 on a alternator bracket, when it looks pretty simple just to make one
That would probably work well with your combination.Right on, yea im going to run a holley dual plane 300-130 not sure on carb yet though, but am leaning towards the street avenger 670
yea thats what i was thinking, i love the look of the single plane much better but i'm not going to be putting up huge numbers, and this a street car so I want as much low end power as possibleThat would probably work well with your combination.
I'm not too worried about the torque. The Car Craft build I'm basing mine off of made 378 lb.ft at 2200rpm, and peaked at 464 lb-ft at 5400. I can live with that, especially in a 3000 lb. car.yea thats what i was thinking, i love the look of the single plane much better but i'm not going to be putting up huge numbers, and this a street car so I want as much low end power as possible
Im still up in the air with what i want to do for mounts, I dont really want to get a new crossmember, also im going to make my own mount for the alternator that will act as the tensioner. As dont have power steering or ac. Im also in the middle of rebuilding my rear end with a locker and 373 gears have, ls1 rear brakes that i need to get rid of since i dont want to change wheels. Because of this i was wanting to run a transmission with a overdrive. But....also have factory pedals to do a manual swsp hahaha. On top of all of this, im doing the blazer front brake swap as well.
Check out Dirty Dingo for accessory mounts, they make pretty nice simple stuff for a decent price. I might have a buddy interested in those rear ls1 brakes.
Edit: Also came across this, depending on your hood clearance this could work
