1980 Pontiac LeMans Station Wagon - G-T-faux (stuck with it, and can't shake it... like a bad case of herpes)

What width front tires do you run? The 245's on my GP sit much farther out that yours appear and I went that width since the old set rubbed. My old 275's were almost flush to the fender and rubbed on full steering lock.

Any sqeeks from the heims? Or are they teflon lined ones?

275s, and they still rub a touch at/near lock. I even reshaped the liners again yesterday. I want to go to a 255.

The heims provided are Teflon lined.

Pulled the car seats out of the TBSS and tossed them in the wagon. Then did a bunch of "that Dad" stuff on a nice Summer day.

The front end is covered in dead bugs.

Because actually driven.

That's just a sweet car. Hats off to an incredible idea and stellar execution.

Thanks dude, that is one a hell of a compliment.

I appreciate it.

Pulled the wagon out to get my littlest kid from daycare and... guess who has a bottom end noise?

Pulled some injectors connectors to test for a change and got nothing, and then put the stethoscope on the top and body end and it is pretty clearly coming from the bottom end - not the valvetrain. I want to be disappointed but this engine has been beat to death first by the Florida State Highway Patrol and then by us.

This thing has gone from LS1 to LS-done thanks to Rodney McRodknockerton paying us a visit.

Weighing my options now... I do like the idea of a 6.2L.

Whats a little noise ?!?!?!?!?!

Run that b*tch!!!

If you heard the noises my big block made you would crap your pants!!!

Oh she's rapping pretty hard, and it goes up with engine speed. It is nothing like piston slap (which it has always had) or the sewing machine noise of the valve train.

Hey, in other news the New Jersey Devils are drafting first overall in an hour or so. At least I have that going for me... right?
