Does it stay out of the steering gearbox that way? I'd like to compare my current setup to a serp setup like yours, but I'm not sure what to measure or what the standard is?

Yes, it clears the gear box even with the bigger 6.625" OD MK6 PS pulley.
Currently running a 5.3125" pulley
