Oh, yeah, also might want to stuff a rag loaded with something noxious into the air intake snorkel, jic, Critters of all kinds love to get into tight dark places so they can nest and chew on the wires. It would not be happy making to open the hood next spring and lift the air cleaner top only to find the air cleaner body full of bits of grass and leaves and chewed up nuts and hair and ???? Same thought goes for the exhaust pipes.

I've heard steel wool up the exhaust is a good way to go. But how would those mongrels make it through the air filter element?
I think he's thinking of the stock style air filter housing and snorkel tube, not an open element air filter.
