I understand your sentiment due to the fact that it's such a gem. Although I wad just trying to be funny -- sometimes (mostly) my humor goes unappreciated. 🙂 hahaSorry, but I'm keeping this one close to the chest.

Definitely get the original wheels, they have dollar value if they are in good shape, unlike the 307. I would ask to see receipts on the 2004R build up and I would add Yukon spider gears at minimum to the stock 7.5" rear which is probably a 3.73 open. I would personally drive that thing everywhere, it is a cool custom.
Cmon Qdub. You waiting for it to sell or what? Go get that sucker. I want an 83 or 84 and probably will eventually snag one. I do want the original engine though.
Don't give up hope! If that one falls through there will be another.Hopefully the car will still be on the market the next time that I'm Stateside and I'll have more time to try to close that deal.
I've seen perfect Hurst olds go for at least 10k. But thats when it's completely original and number matching.I don't know. It's not the stock engine, so that's irrelevant to me.
