For what it's worth, they DID offer designer series paint schemes on the 1983 ttype.

That's darker black on top, and obviously the chrome was painted over, but it's not far off what could've been an original scheme.

(I owned one that had it)

I like the factory two tone paint jobs like my old 81' Regal had, I think the GNX flares kind of through the look off on the posted one.

Your absolutely right on that! i actually almost purchased one years ago near the Carlisle car show, it was EXTREMELY rough, so I held out and got a 59K 83 T Type (red maple metallic)

I like it. I like the flares. I hate the way the front fillers stand out, and the way the front fender paint division line dips below them . The price is insane, for what it needs. These A—hole flippers help raise the value of Gbody’s, good for resale, bad for buying parts.
