I must say mel I like your style that motor is serious I like it. I think you gonna have 1 bad *ss el when its all said and done. Very nice keep up the good work.

Thanks for the kind words! i've been a fan of your Elco from the moment I saw it on Cardomain. Very sweet ride with some ridiculously nice mods (Can't get over how clean that gas filler mod came out). That's a nice 55 you got as well!

Mel, I knew you would be back. Can't get away from the GBodys for too long before a new one catches your eye. Can't wait to see the build. I'm excited.

Thanks for the kind words. My el is what it is. It was done in the days when I had money flowing and I had a great metal crafter to create my vision. Everything else I was lucky to be able to do to it myself. And my 55 man that just a p.o.s right now its just a fun cruiser that I hope one day to be able to do up if not I'm gonna try to keep it og as long as I can. I hope to be able to meet ya one day as I think your a cool kat like like 99% of the folks on here.

Oh I remember the days when the money was flowing, too bad I didnt put it into my gbody back then (had a 88 SS Monte). Looking forward to meeting a lot of members on here as well. I want to plan a pomona swap meet trip with some friends i'll let you know when we pick a date maybe u can roll with us.

whats even more interesting is its another 84.

84 is the year I was born, I loved my 87 but i've always wanted an 84

Makin progress bruh. Got em cleaned up for you and scuffed em and started the hole filling process. I'm scuffing the underside up with 60 grit and then spraying some rubber undercoating on em. These will turn out waaaay better than the ones on the SS. I rushed those but they still came out decent. These will have to be damn near perfect as they are goin on Sug 2.0..Here's what I got so far...

Nosey lil bug got his azz stuck in the epoxy' LOL! Thats cuz these wells are gonna be sweet!!

Underside is all cleaned up. Well the first stage of cleaning. Lil Purple Power and a steel wool pad. Scuffing it with some 60 grit sand paper and then cleaning with "TSP" and then acetone. Then I'll shoot some rubber undercoating...

Big Saint is supposed to swing thru on Saturday. I'll just work on the one for now and have it finished up by then. That way he can see the before and after and form his opinion on how it came out...

I'll keep updating this in your thread so you can see the progress bruh..

Warren again you just keep stepping up the game nice work.

Oh boy!! man we are all tryin to get like you bruh. For a homegrown job, it will work. I appreciate the love on the projects brotha. That really keeps me motivated to learn and try new stuff. Sometimes the project doesnt come out as planned, but its still all good...

Got some more work done today. Scrubbed and degreased the underside of the wells. Scuffed em up with 80 grit and cleaned em with acetone. Then I sprayed some 3m undercoating. I like how thick it sprays out. And leaves a nice texture. This will aid in dampening road noise. I have some work to do on the metal palte that mounts to the well. I'll "pop" rivet it on. The old staples used are no good. Here's what I got today..

Taped off the area so the undercoating wouldnt splatter on top..

Thanks for the props fellas! Man its a privelage to be able to work on Sug 2.0. Got a little more done. I knocked all the epoxy down and sprayed the undercoating on the other well. I'll start with the next grit of sand paper 220, then 320 to smooth the damamge from the 80 grit. Then clean and tape off. Filler primer and then the sanding starts. 400 dry, 600 dry, 600 wet, 800 wet, 1000 wet, 1500 wet and 2000 wet. Then a lil flat black to check the holes I filled to make sure they are level. Then paint and hand polish....Here's what I got so far..

80 grit was used to knock the extra material down. riss cross pattern and a block sander.
