Hey nice score on the Monte, a lot like mine. How are the bottoms of the doors? and Lower rear quarters?

Slicks:
28.5x11.5
Pass. side I run 15x10 w/3.5" backspacing, and driver's side I run 15x10 w/4" backspacing and a wheel spacer. had to experiment with different wheels and offsets to keep these slicks from rubbing, while tucking them in as much as possible. Also, the wheelwells are different (pass side is smaller than driver's side). Also the Ford 9" rear has different axle widths pass. side relative to driver's side which factor in also.

Not confused, I know what the frame is. I boxed mine, as do most who run any big horsepower.

You should see the buckles in the floor of the Nova SS! It's a professionally built (John Lingenfelter) SS/G car and it still wrinkled the floor due to torque twist!

You are relying on your cage to stiffen everything. I don't even have a roll bar.

and i have an 82 cutlass with bent floor pans, the frame needs to be connected, you can run it as is until you have the power to run 10.5 or lower then you will start bending, my old monte bent right in middle of car, thats how i discovered the frame needing connectors, but just my 2 cents run it as it is if you aint having problems your 1 of the few!!!

I knew there was something up with the left and right side of the rear, with the 7.5 i was like there is deff an extra inch on one side more than the other... we thought the car was twisted up. A friend of a friend has some 5x4.5 15x10 rims with goodyear nascar series slicks on em he wants 75$. I was gonna run 0 offset rims from one of our wheelin trucks before which i think would have rubbed.. Hopefully these fit if not ill sell the tires for 200$ cause they are 400 a piece and sell the rims for 100$

with 4.10s and 26x10.5 mt et street i run past the trapts at around 4800 and thats only running 8.20's. It's going to be a screamer on the top end with higher gears

One thing I didn't mention was that I have rear disk brakes on my Ford.9 in. The hat thickness is about .5 in., as opposed to a brake drum. Best thing is for u to take accurate measurements both sides. I sprayed primer on my frame rails so I could monitor if the tires made rub marks. I also fabbed up mud flaps since my 11.5 wide slicks stuck out so much. They hook great on my car, which is the whole idea.

How large of a cam are you running with that 355 and what size stall. So far cracking the throttle reads 6200~6500 I was gonna run a 2500 but I'm thinking maybe 26-3200

I can do the disk swap for under 100$ I work at autozone and can get the parts at a discount. Just gotta get the explorer bolt on caliper bracket

Cam lift .512intake .497ext Cam Dur: 295 312 Car has 3000 stall but could use a bigger one no doubt.
