Yup, the 307/350/403 are all the same dimensions.

I have a 1969 Olds 350 in my car right now, but building a 403 for it for this summer. I have Headman Headers with 3" Torque Tech exhaust.

Nice car. You got a good deal if you got that for 1k. I am looking for another Cutlass to put the 350 in once I drop the 403 in my 87. quote]

How do you like the Headmans?
Im still torn between Headman and Flotech
Ive got a 307 now that evethign will be transferred to a 350
Im gona do headers into an x-pipe thru mufflers (still undecided) then tails behind the wheels

I like the Headmans. They are the only ones I have had no fitment issues with.

What I really want though, is the American Racing headers. Small block in a Gbody. Stainless too.

Pricey, at 900 for a set. But they are the way to go.

if your thinking about hooker aerochamber for mufflers. there good if you like a quite idle and somewhat loud when reved. I like them but I really like loud cars and there not loud enough for me. Im sure theyll be louder with a 403 i hope. For right now they fit the look my car has.

Next up is suspension and rims/tires. My plans are a 17x8 17x9 coy 67 wheels with a 295 tire out back with out sticking out the sides. Not sure what i have to do the rear end to fit those tires but i know it will have to do something. Im also looking for a .75 inch drop in the back and 1 inch drop up front and a front end rebuild. So how should I start this? 😀

if everyone didnt have soft 8's right now, i'd really like to have them.

true but the price cant be beat and i think if i go with the 17s it will be a little different look. i think most people go with the 15s. also rims can always be changed later.

There is always the Home Depot and Wal Mart solution too. Buy poster board at Wal Mart to make a template, then buy some roof flashing at Home Depot and cut out your block off plate. If flashing is too expensive, you can cut your panel from a scrap body part with a large enough flat section.
