verry cool to the progress on your ride, its gonna be sweet and even sweeter that your doin it yourself..i envy you haveing a garage to work in..and nice score with the paint help 8) that the killer expense

Thanks, it's actually not my garage, I stole my dad's space, his car is parked outside.

Today I finished up the rear axle. I had to go to 3 different dealerships to find a new fill plug, PIA for a $2.00 part. Next thing to do is headlight buckets and then rear shocks.

I just did shocks last night. Have a couple 13mm wrenches on hand.

Re: Project RS: Regal Sleeper

I'm only doing the rears, the front shocks seem fine, but the back is really soft. As much as I'd like to, I'm not gonna opt for bilsteins, I will more than likely just use A/C Delco.

Some pictures of the diff when the cover was off, new exhaust coming spring/summer 2013-

Got new rear shocks for the car yesterday, I already got one on, it was relatively easy, but those top bolts are a PIA. I'm using Gabriel Gaurdians, not nearly the adjustable Viking shocks that 307 Regal just put on his car, but for my purposes, they should do fine.

Yes they are.
Don't sweat the fact that they're regular shocks. You may notice that your car feels a lot more well-mannered in turns now.

Yeah I don't mind much that they are regular shocks, in fact the old ones had decent pressure, they were just rusted out. I just finished up the other one, and one of the top bolts was stripped, so it was a major PIA. What is bugging me, is that silver- painted diff cover my dad insisted on is already getting Knicks, and I tried fixing some of them today and not only did I fail, I got some overspray on one of the bolts. You can't really notice because its one of the very top bolts, and it just looks like it has anti seize on it, but it's still gonna bug me.

Maybe if I had OCD like you then my exhaust and wheel wells wouldn't still be blue. One of the many issues I need to iron out this summer.

With ALL the work your regal NEEDS,uh why not do the RIGHT/ONLY way,FRAME-OFF!!!!!!???!!! Pull that motor and get it cleaned and it will aloe you to clean up the bay! Get you some reclining buckets, those curry non recliners are uncomfortable as he'll!!! If you need rear fillers I have a exCEllent set, I also have a console(burgundy)and shifter(burgundy)to fill that void in-between your seats. Pm me if interested.good luck, and happy building!!!

Sure, I'd love to do a frame off build. Do you have a spare 2 car garage to do it in and $20K that you don't know what to do with? Thanks for insulting my ride man. And please, entertain me and tell me what work my regal needs still.

Damn Bro I dont think he insulted your ride! I think he just gave you some advice! Why would it take 20 grand to take the frame off? Love the car though.
