900 dollars got me a rod knocking, gas leakin, stallin, piece of olds.
Loved the interior though!
Well I figured since the guy left me on empty I should put some gas in it, and thats when the problems started.......
put 40 in, 20, or more, came out, son of a b*tch.......
had my shop teacher order me a new tank, fixed that right quick
That night I figured I might as well change the oil, guy said he did, but always gotta do it yourself if you want it done right, sadly
The big problem then came to light, BAH BAH BAH! Rod knock!
The Previous owner put in some heavier oil so what I thought was a small lifter tick was my engine coming to its end. At that time my future plans of building and dropping a 350 into it came to be my main priority.
I continued to drive it and look several times a day on craigslist for a new engine.
This was working out, well, decent, at best, until one day when I was driving it home from school and boom, over heated, at that time I parked it in my backyard and made arrangements to tow it to school.
After that it was about a month until I found my new baby!
95 Chevy 350 out of a Conversion Van
$200
It was rebuilt 30-40K ago, before I got it sat for a year or two
I discussed it my auto teacher and we made the decision that a overhaul was best.
A month ago I had a pile of efi bull shat sitting on top of a new to me Chevy 350, Now, a Beautiful, orange, black and silver Masterpiece
