Guys, today was a good day. I finally ordered my turbo. Decided to go with the VSR78/75 Billet. Being as they had them in stock, I figured I would go ahead and spend the money while I had it lol. Should be here next week then I'll see about placement and exhaust routing to it. Also my girlfriend is now furious because she believes it will make what I told her it's capable of on the first go round lol. Without bigger injectors, fuel pump and map sensor, it will not hit those kind of numbers. I will see about springing and spending more for a better waste gate and bov than what vs racing carries. At least then I can sleep at night knowing it didn't get too much boost due to faulty boost control. But anyway, super stoked. Stay posted.

Just curious, why is your girlfriend mad about the power output? Is she worried about your safety or something like that?

Alright guys, today while I was busy killing time waiting for the turbo to come in Tuesday, I decided to do a free go fast mod to help give me some more fuel. I saw where Sloppy Mechanic Matt Happel uncapped some stock truck injectors. He done this to a set and had them sent to a company that cleaned them, flow tested them at different variables and psi settings. From what his updates were when he got them back, the stock 25# truck injector increased its flow up to an average around 75#'s between the 8 injectors. The restrictor being removed increases the flow of the injector while still using only 58psi. I had read that removing the restrictor would cause the injector to lose its atomization ability, which from what I have found from surfin the interweb that it performs the same as a deika 80# injector, only 300 bucks or so cheaper lol. The mod is actually really simple to do, you just have to be careful. I have not had the chance to test them yet but I followed the instructions I found and mine looks the same so in theory it should come down to tuning to adjust for the change in flow rates, mainly for the sake of keeping a smooth idle. But anyway heres a picture to show the difference between the stock injector and a modified one. The stock one is on the right, notice the 4 tiny holes on the restrictor place. The left is the modified. As always thanks for keeping up with my junk and stay tuned for some turbo fitment next weekend.

That's a neat mod. I'm not sure I'm that brave.
