The back end is finally on the ground since my powder coating is completed. Everything is bolted (loosely) in place for the time being besides the rear sway bar. New KYB shocks, and I swapped to longer wheel studs in the axles are the only modifications or changes made out back. I will start working on the front end here shortly so that I can have a roller and get my Monte put back together.

Its only to the seam and not to the back wall of the frame tube. In the past cars, we have gone exactly this far and not had any issues. The better question is when I put the body back on, how far will I need to section the tube to get a 315 tire on the rear!

The frame is completely a roller at this time and has been for about 2 weeks. I went to start some mechanical work and pulled a rod and a main cap just to look around. I was not happy with how either looked. Granted all I did was slap bearing and pistons with rings in a stock motor many years back but I honestly thought it would look better than it did. The motor still ran great and maintained good oil pressure. I may throw the stock 350 rotating assembly into another 2 bolt block I have that developed a rod knock just to keep on the shelf.

I ordered a Eagle street 383 rotating assembly from Summit.

I will tear the motor down to a block and get it off to the machine shop in the coming days.
