It does. When I got mine I compaired it to the Jegs one, the G Force allows more space & bigger pipes.I think the G Force will give you more clearance for exhaust.

i got mine off amazon "G FORCE CROSSMEMBERS RCG-400 Transmission Crossmember 84-88 G-Body Cars" it says for 400 and i cross referenced it on the gforce site and its for the 200 4r as well, heard of no issues when mechanic installed. gives the car a more rigid ride too. i wanted to get the summit but doin the math i think the gforce came up 3 bux less off amazon i think?Hey all! I'm in the process of collecting parts right now, and will need a dual exhaust crossmember for my 85 Monte Carlo SS with a 200-4R. It will have long tube headers and dual exhaust (no cats) so just wondering which crossmember you recommend!
This is what I have for my TH400. I'm very happy with it.Coltrane, take a look at the Summit brand 2004r trans cross member. Basically, it is a G Force in a Summit box. The installation instructions I found in mine was a photo copy of the G Force instructions.
Their researchers who does the parts interchange are morons like 90% of the parts places. Those crossmembers will fit & will just need the frame extension for being an '83. If something can fit a 442 can fit a Supreme as they have the same frames. To be honest, all A/G's have the same side rails with the El Camino & Caballero being longer after the cab.Jegs says it doesn't fit El Camino or Cutlass Supreme. Is that because of the frame in those models? Can i use a piece if 1" x 2" Rectangle tubing to make the extension? ( trying to swap a 200 4r from an 85 442 to my 83 ECSS) Current setup I have is the Crown Vic Cross member, it clears the exhaust, and fits pass side great. Hits Driver floor, and does not quite overlap the Frame rail thinking about making a frame extension from the 1x2 tubing. Thanks!
