Hey all! I'm in the process of collecting parts right now, and will need a dual exhaust crossmember for my 85 Monte Carlo SS with a 200-4R. It will have long tube headers and dual exhaust (no cats) so just wondering which crossmember you recommend!

I bought the Jegs crossmember for my 86' Regal since I was trying to be more budget minded on this car.
It fit well without any issues with my long tube headers.

I used a Jegs crossmember with my TH350 and was happy with it. When I swapped to a TH400, I used Summit's copy of the Gforce crossmember, which I am currently using now. Very happy with that one also.

Thanks to both of you! For some reason I'm having a tough time finding either a Jegs or Summit crossmember that fits my car for a 200-4r...all I'm finding are ones for a 350/400/etc or for an earlier Monte. Maybe G Force is the way to go?

If I'm remembering right the TH400 & TH200 4R are about the same distance bellhousing to rear mount.

I was just going to post that. And it should fit any year gbody. For ‘81 (I think) and earlier you will need the frame extension which the summit one has in the kit.

Thinking it was about '84 they started to add the factor extention to all frames.

I have the G force in my Malibu. The jegs you sent me looks to be a better piece to me.

The 200R4 and TH400 are the same length to the mount, mine is for a 400 the one I posted and fits just fine.

I think the G Force will give you more clearance for exhaust.
