2017 OK/MO Route 66 G-Body Cruise

Hey everyone, Raul and I had to cut out and head back to Tulsa. We had a blast and we'll definitely be back next year!
We’ve arrived. Well me and Texas82GP. Ldr’s crew we lost shortly after we took off. 🙁. Wish you guys could have made it.
Then I grossly underestimated how unmarked and long the old 66 route was. We got off route and separated from ken and hafrod when we tried to get back again. Then I guess the salon started acting up so he went back with them.
So. We’re going to hang out here for a spell. Parked next to a black LS Malibu but he took off somewhere.
We tried. It was fun while it held together. Got plenty of thumbs up on the road. That’s just how these things go sometimes. Much thanks to you guys who turned out. I will post the pix and video I have tomorrow.
We will definitely try something again next year.

My gas stop had ethanol fuel only so that's what I got. I forgot to tighten my distributor hold down tab so the timing was all over the place unknown to me. I was on about 4 hours sleep so mistakes happen. I pulled off on one exit and it died and didn't want to start back up. When I took off it was detonating bad. Stopped to eat and went out and set the timing and tightened the bolt. Seemed fine the rest of the way in but I didn't push it too hard on I-44 and 75MPH. I kept it at 65 because my temp sensor is not reading right
Just made it back home. I think their decision to make this s one day event backfired. They had events scheduled for like 7:30, but by 3pm people were bailing out one after the other. We left at 4pm just because. There were maybe 2/3 the cars from the last time I was here 2 yrs ago. Be interesting to see what they do next year if anything. We are still going to do something no matter what.
