The roof line is too low and the hood line is too high on the new camaros. I liken it to an old first gen camaro in widescreen.
They still don't look right and need more revamping to be right.
Dumb question. It's a purpose made drag car.
As long as you run a slow enough time you're legal
The LS has had competition from ford and mopar since it came out. NHRA won't not let it race at their tracks, you just can't pull a 9.65 your first time out with no safety equipment or a roll cage and expect to come back. You can run 11.50s and be fine, but as soon as you dip into consisten low 11s, they will make you get a cage or you can't race. It's just rules. As others have said, the cage would've altered the crumple zones and the structure of the car, so it would have to go through years and millions of dollars in RnD to make sure that it'd be "safe" enough to sell to the general public and even then it still might not pass crash tests. If you're serious about buying one, you can spend a few grand for a decent cage.Dumb answer, if NHRA won't let it drag. 😵
But my how seriously people take this topic, especially those who will never own any of these cars. 😛
In general, please refer to my next post after the one replied to.
I think it's cool that the performance V8 has new life. GM started the revival with the LS line, Fiat is trying to compete. I'll leave it at that.
