Dumb question. It's a purpose made drag car. It even comes with big and littles in the trunk. That's like asking how fast a Geo is in the 1/4. It's a car setup for the strip that can barely be driven on the street. And yes, you can build a Buick V6 with 1100hp. You could put it into any car with any suspension setup you want. Engine does not dictate handling.Yeah but how well does a Demon handle on a winding road? And how much of that HP can you use anywhere but the strip, where they won't let you race?
You can build a Buick V6 with 1100 HP. It won't handle very well either.
It wouldn't be registerable as a street car if it came with a cage from the factory, for whatever reason.

I am just glad someone decided to build a car like this. Rather it not be a Mopar, but, it's awesome.
If they made an entry level COPO or Cobra-jet that was street legal I would own one, more so a Camaro as I am a GM guy. It wouldn't have to be in the 9's, but, it doesn't need to cost as much as a house with a nice shop.
If those cars existed, drag racing my be rejuvenated.
I say give me an angular body, call it a Malibu, I want a trunk, V8 rear drive, and a solid rear axle. Give me standard or automatic, optional trans brake. Optional displacement and super chargers.
Am I alone?
They still don't look right and need more revamping to be right. The 2017 Camaro is great. It will kill a Hellcat on any track other than a 1/4 mile and even there it would be close enough that a a few mods/driver would be the difference.
The 1LE V6 Camaro would destroy a Challenger SRT8 on a road course. An 1LE SS will beat a non R Shelby GT350 on a road course for $20K less.
The only problem with GM's is that they depreciate 50% in 4 years, which is a huge plus if you are like me and don't buy new.
My neighbor bought a 2,500 mile ZL1 convert for $40K, another bought a 500 mile 427 Z28 for $40K. Whoever paid $75K new for these took a bath.
Remember that the Demon still has to meet emissions
