2020 Corvette to START at $59,995.00 (price updated)

Looks awesome! Price point is belied anything that compares. I agree with the manual trans argument there is just something about shifting a car as powerful as the vette. Bottom line is technology has taken over and it’s here to stay. I could see manual transmissions not being an option on any car soon.

Having both, a 7-speed manual and 8-speed auto C7 Grand Sport in the company fleet, I'll take the auto over the stick all day long. The 7-speed manual feels like a semi truck transmission and one will never be faster shifting that one against the 8-speed auto.
The new double clutch in the C8 will be even faster shifting. Pricewise you can compare a base C8 with the 6.2 to a base Porsche Cayman with a 2.0 4-banger with 300HP. I have 4 of them in the fleet, some of the most boring sports cars to me (the base model).
I think the C8 will find its customers.

regarding the auromatic vs manual it isn't always important to have the fastest ride to everyone, for me you can't beat manually going through the gears

I dig it! About time they made the change to mid/rear engine.

You have to be willing to change in order to compete that's for sure.

You're repeating yourself........have some coffee............

I'm ignoring you so please do the same

If repeating yourself was a problem here, I’d been banned years ago . . .

Now, what was I talking about?

Well, that’s a boring fleet of company cars. Too bad they can’t be something exotic like a Ford Taurus or Chevy Impala.

On a serious note, I’m usually not a corvette guy, but the more I look at this, the more I like it. Except for the Camaro-ish tail lights.
