2020 Corvette to START at $59,995.00 (price updated)

Am I the only one that doesn't like Corvettes 😕? Does that make me unAmerican? Either way, Corvette or not, do people still but GM cars nowadays?

This new Vette will probably be plaqued with problems due to cost cutting el cheapo parts and shoddy build....

Even though I like a manual trans.

They are outdated.

You cant out shift a computer.

Not to mention does anyone even build a good one????

I still prefer human interface during sex and driving. I'll row my own whenever possible.

I think it's pretty cool. The price makes it cooler.

But! Is it cool enough that you are going to buy a base model? Or would you feel compelled to get options?

That's the rub.

I think I'd want the most basic, no options model they make. From what I understand (and I don't understand much, I've only skimmed through a couple articles,) the higher trim engine makes only marginally more HP, and they all have the same trans, so no big power difference and I don't care for more buttons or leather or fancy colors so I think I'd be pretty happy with a base model.

So I'm not the only one thinking that. Maybe that was the muse they used & forgot redraw the lines in the original drawings.
I'll just leave this here...

It's like a reliable McLaren!!! That's a world class super car for pickup truck money. The rear does look quite Camaro ish, not horrible but could be better. I like it alot. I'm not a dedicated Vette goon but this car is very interesting. C5 and newer are good stuff too. Being able to daily drive one of these would put the ingress/egress to the test. I can't stand C4 vettes mostly due to the fact that you have to slide across the dining room table to get in and out.

I just watched this:

And then I watched this:

I am a C5 Z06 diehard being the most analogue of track oriented Vettes - but for what people had been asking for them they priced me out of the market for potential ownership. But, now with the base model C8 coming out at sub-60K?! Those C5 Z06s are about to be had for Cavalier money. I am not a fan of the C8 (yet) - but, why buy used? The market just fell out from under C4, C5, C6, and C7s.
