Does anyone have pictures of a G body or similarly sized vehicle with 24"/25" tall tires? I'm tire browsing for summer and noticed that 225/50/R16 has some good aggressive tire options, but according to a tire calculator those come out to 24 7/8" overall height. I try to hover around 26" overall height. If I bump up to 225/55/R16 then I'd be at 25 3/4" overall height, but the tire choices are limited again. Better than some, but still limited.

So I'm just wondering how ridiculous a G body would look with 24" tires front and back. Because if it doesn't look bad, gear ratios aside, it could save me from buying a set of 17" wheels.

Sorry no pix;

A buddy's Regal with Hotchkis TVS used to run 225/55/15 for years. They look OK, but obviously not as aggressive as 26"+ tires.

If you're worried that it will look cartoony or out of place, its not an issue.

Excellent. Those come out to the same height as those R16s I'm looking at. I'm still not gonna spring for a full-competition street tire just yet, but when I do I'll feel less inclined to need 17s when I do it! Thanks.

It most certainly does. It means the 225/55/R16s I'm looking at will look just fine for sure. My wheels just won't be as sexy as yours.
I'll try to grab some pics tomorrow, I believe that's the size my dad runs on the front of his wagon.
I'd appreciate it! No big deal if you can't though!
