I have a question if you had a choice would you rather have a g body or a 2nd gen trans am. I have both and am thinking about getting rid of one.

2nd gens are hot right now. If you want to get rid of one, you'll get more money for the 2nd gen if the condition is equal.

I'd keep both. (My dad has a second gen too.) But if you need to get rid of one, no one can decide but you... What do you want to do? F bodies do have a bigger aftermarket, but g bodies are up and coming.

What kind of condition are both cars in? What year Trans Am? What make, model and year G Body? Do you have any pics of the cars? What is your intended use for the car you keep? Any idea what your budget will be?

There are a lot of things to consider when making a choice like this. Ultimately the choice will be yours but we can probably be of more help with more information.

Got a 1976 t top trans am. Then I got 1985 Grand Prix I am in the middle of sleep swap right now. The g body I put the s10 blazer brakes, jeep steering shaft has grand national rear end 3.42 gears. 5.3 with 4l60e, all new body bushings, new ball joints, all new front and rear control arm bushings, electric fan from 1995 Ford Taurus. The trans am is done and running never redid interior though has no carpet or headliner. I like the g body because the upgrades are a lot cheaper to do. Does anyone know how much a g body like the one I did would be worth?

I had a 71, 77, 79, and an 81 turbo sold them all. But kept my Malibus

I also cut my mullet, shaved off my mustache and ditched the Van Halen tapes!!

Not me but you may now understand why i chose the Malibu!!
