Those are the best ones for power, right? I really couldn't be too picky as money wouldn't allow me to rebuild an engine. This wasn't a bad deal though. $700 for a crate motor with (says) 15,000 miles on it, when we removed the intake the gasket didn't look like it was on there too long plus not all the paint on the block was gone. Even if it was 50,000 miles its still a good price to me. 87-95 Had the hole punched and the lobes on the cam for a mechanical fuel pump. The motor was complete too except for the starter. It was TBI so I couldn't use the upper stuff. This swap is taking me forever mainly because I can only work on it one day out of the week but now I have a little more time on my hands. I'm loving it though because I have learned alot so far. Working on cars is fun to me, can be frustrating though mainly because I don't know what I'm doing. There are so many cars for cheap on craigslist that just need one part that may require a lil engine digging but if u can fix it yourself then you sell that car for double (or more) you paid for it. Or work on other peoples cars. Whats better than working from home?
Alright I went 12 different directions here but back on topic. Say I got the wires figured out but they just don't plug up correctly. How do I get them to the right way? For example, the alternator has 4 prongs but the plug for it goes to the v6 alternator with 2 prongs.
