Hey guys I currently own a 1985 Olds Cutlass Supreme with the Olds 307 5.0 in it. I was planning on swapping out the motor with a 383 stroker and was wondering if it will mount up to the stock trans and the motor mounts. Any information would be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance. This is my first G body and I love this car.

You will have to change the frame mounts for the engine to Chevy style and will need the matching uppers for the engine.

These are an aftermarket alternative to factory clamshell uppers

If by chance you have a 200R4 trans with dual bolt pattern it will bolt right up.
If you have a BOP trans only you can use an adapter to bolt it up but you might want to consider a better trans that can handle the new power level.

You also need all new accessory brackets as well. C'mon add a 4" stroke crank to your 307. You can have small block version of a 400G😁.

We are still waiting on someone to make that easy "stroker kit";)

A kit exists for the 350, I wonder why it doesn't exist for the mighty 307😱.

Thanks guys. Someone mentioned the 403 6.6L will mount right up without any alterations. Is this true?

Yes, an Olds 350 or 403 are a direct bolt in, everything transfers over from the 307.

Would the stock trans be ok to handle the increased HP of the 403?
As long as you don't try to hit slicks or drag radials. Street tires will be fine/fun.
Whelp....

I dunno. I've seen 307 cars that came with a th200c from the factory which likely wouldn't like even a mild 403 or 350 Olds.

If it's got overdrive then it's not a 200c. But if it is a non-overdrive 200c you're likely in trouble, unless again a prior owner swapped in a th350...

I'd look at the Trans oil pan shape to start if it's not overdrive.
