I found the option code sheet a while back under the rear seat and just put it all in a plastic bag, It was all chewed up...damn mice...luckily thats the only thing they got.

Just got around to decoding everything a couple days ago and found out I have a Th-250, not a Th-350. Thats kind of a bummer considering I'm going to drop in the 350 soon. Do you guys think it will last me a little while until I can get a th-350? I will need to break in the motor, so I won't be hammering on it...

It should last for a while as long as you're not giving it hell doing burnouts and such. Just make sure your AAA membership is up to date!

Now you've got time to search for a decent used TH-350. Try craigslist and see if you come up with anything.

Did you ever figure anything out with that trans cross-member you got?

Good. Lately I've been checking craigslist daily  Hopefully something will come up.

I actually googled "A-body crossmember in G-body" or something like that and there was a how-to and a thread about that exact swap at malibu racing. The pictures wouldn't load so I ended up signing up and pm-ing a guy wha did the swap.

He said I will have to extend the crossmember mounts back with some angle iron so I can mount the crossmember perpendicular to both sides of the frame. I will also have to shorten it and pinch the ends...luckily my dad works at a shop where the build presses and such, so he will pinch the ends of it for me.

I went to the junkyard today, I was going to get the v8 fan shroud I had found before when I thought I didn't need it, of course last one in the junkyard... Now that I do need it, someone has bought it already. D'oh!!!

I did get a pair of rear springs from an 80's camaro though. The car was suppourted by the frame so the springs weren't compressed. I will be putting them in and cutting them when we cut the front springs. Hopefully I can get the right stance.

Waiting paitently for my next paycheck so I can pay the guy for the springs, get a starter, oil pump accessories, and order the fuel and oil pump from summit. Then we'll put together the motor, paint it, and start getting the car ready.

Installed the rear camaro springs today, heres the pic. Obviously we still have to cut the front soon

Ride height was 26 3/4" now its 26" with no isolators, and I'm guessing they will settle a little bit.

The rest of my engine parts should be coming in the mail today.

I'll just have to get used to it handling like I have sandbags in the back  You can definitely tell the difference around corners.

I'll have to search around for some v8 springs too.

*Update*
The rear camaro sorings settled a bit more and the back is now 25 3/4"
Hopefully We will start the engine swap tomorrow.

Today is also my b-day and I'm 18!!!!

I bought myself a b-day present, two 12" subs (pioneer TS-W302R)
They were an absolute steal. The kid posted them on craigslist, both subs for $35 brand new in unopened boxes. Turns out he ordered 2 from crutchfield and they sent him 4!!

He let me listen to the ones he installed in his car, pretty healty sounding.

I need to find a setup I like now as far as location of the subs. I don't want to cover up the rear seat x-braces since I spent a lot of time to make them visible instead of puting carpeting over them.

Any suggestions? Any amp suggestions??

Thanks!

I could be working on the 350, but nobody answers their damn phone!! I might end up going to the hookah bar, or help my other friend with his supra.
