Re: Build Thread, What I've done so far

that pic was just after i had the thing in the air. i blocked up the rear differential and always had another jack of some sort under the engine crossmember.

they are 205/60's all around i think. im still saving for 255's for the 15" wheels i have for the back

the old trans was slipping between 2nd and 3rd.

i dont think the "new" trans is much better. i need to drain some fluid out of it and adjust the kickdown. right now when you put it in reverse is takes a while to egage, drive is fine though shifts good... i have to mess around with it somemore.. :blam:

Re: Build Thread, What I've done so far

I'd be afraid of ripping the drainplug off on a speed bump..Was the trans rebuilt or a Krylon rebuild?

Re: Build Thread, What I've done so far

ya rattle can rebuild lol. i figured the headers are pretty low, and they have never scraped for me, and that plug is quite a bit higher.

Re: Build Thread, What I've done so far

seems i licked out and it shifts good, just gotta find someone to help me adjust the kickdown. I know it should be easy, but i dont know what im doing really...

picked up a stock air cleanerwhen i dropped off my transmission at the 'yard. something to mess around with later for a litle ram air action maybe. im thinking of using the cutouts in the bumper as the intake point... well seee 8)

sad thing is theres only like 2-3 cutlass' left now, and a handful of montes and regals... hes crushing everything cause he wants to be outta there before winter... 😢 I gotta grab the pass. side remote mirror off a monte there before its gone!!

Re: Build Thread, What I've done so far

Finally got around to doing my fan swap. My buddy is in new mexico for the week so im using his car while i work on mine. I fixed the leaky brakes on his already, that was the deal 8)

Really like how my mounting system worked out, its real solid.

I have to paint my pwr. steering pulley now

Re: Build Thread, What I've done so far

just a little update.

The drivers side fan has a bad bearing, so I'll probablly go to the dodge dealer and see if i can get a new motor for it instead of buying a new set of fans.

Got a F-body camaro plate holder, probablly one of the most useful upgrades yet!

Also decided to remove my inner 2 headlights just to see if i get pulled over. if i don't within the next week here, i will probablly run some 3" hose to the factory 307 air cleaner for the "ram- air" setup.

let us know haha. If you don't get caught maybe i'll give it a try since my w-30 idea fell through

Since they're the high beams I doubt that'll happen, I'd think that as long as both low beams work you shouldn't have anything to worry about.

Yeah, outer are both high and low so i figured there shouldnt be a problem. i actually ran 1 out this week figuring it would grab the most attention and nothing happened so they are both out now. just getting some more air in the engine bay as of now. I personally think it looks awesome, but nobody else does.

yeah, i think i found a way to run hose past the battery on the drivers side. but i might switch to the bumper inlets for a more stealth look.
