Mark 8 & Windsor & Caravan with rear air, fans also work great. You have done a great job of updating upgrading & improving that car I hate to see you resort back to a mechanical fan. I haven't went back to see how you did it but I used a 40 amp fuse & an upgraded altenator with a good clean ground and had success cooling my 10-1 509 in stop & go.

Rats, I was watching your build and wanted to go with the electric fans myself. I am using a factory 9 blade fan with a new working clutch and I am happy except for stuck-in-traffic-with-AC-on situations. It would be nice to kick in more fan from the dash. Do you fault the Intrepid design, or that it was a questionable junkyard item?

probablly a questionable junkyard item. i had to replace a fan motor last year because the bearings went. not sure if its a bearing problem or what really. it blew both of my 30amp fuses (high and low speed) and i'm not sure why. definitely had a good ground and i have a new 85 amp alternator.

on another note i have the solid 5 blade back in and ran all day today spot on temp in 80plus degrees.

I must say, I've been along for this build for a while, and your car is comming out great. Keep up the good work man!

thank you very much!!

I've been more into the vw scene lately since i got my beater 81 rabbit, but still managed to do something to the olds.

Bought a full set of 15" rallies off a friend a while back with tires. finally got around to painting the two rear wheels with my leftover paint. turned out good enough i thtink. 8) they are 235/60's MT ET streets. my bfg's are 255/60 but i thinik the 235's still look good.

Tires are looking good there Matt. You been to any cruises lately? I just got back from vacation in North Carolina so I haven't been anywhere since Norwalk.

Nah, ive just been driving it around really. ever since it got hailed on and got all those dents i've been feeling kinda down about it. just goin through one of those phases i guess. norwalk sounded like fun! hop you had a good vacation too 8)

the car was at my buddies house sitting outside, we were on a parts run in NY at the time. His parents texted a pic of the hail just to show us and my heart just sank... Diameter was about the size of a quarter. So there was nothing i could do which is just my luck... of course happened one of the only times i'm not home. Wish i could've been there to throw some towels or something on it. Good thing i know how to fix all that kind of stuff i guess.
