unfortunately not. i just have liability coverage.

On another bad note. i recently got rear ended on my way to work last tuesday... :x

i was stopped at a stop sign waiting to go. i rolled forward a little then stopped again, apparently the dumbass lady behind me thought i went, and she hit the right side of my bumper and cover. i got out and looked and the came over and said: "Are you ok with this?" HELL NO LADY I'M NOT OK WITH THIS!!! Got her info and all that. No damage to the quarter panel but I had a lot of time into that bumper. I blasted the rebar, painted it and had all new bolts on it. She wanted to keep insurance out of it, until i got my estimate where i work, at a very reputable local body shop. Was set at $1300 since they dont make new parts and he thankfully couldnt find used parts. So She turned it into USAA Accepting responsibility. They make their own adjustments/estimate unfortunately, and they checked it out friday. So tomorrow i should be getting a call with their price.

The things that have happened to the cutlass lately have been making me sick....

On another note, theres an 85 on my local craigslist for $500. so well see what happens when i get my check.

Also i had a VERY bad exhaust leak and checked it out today. The top of one of my mufflers was all cracked and blown through. Wondering how the hell that happened. Welded a big patch over it for now. Probably get some new mufflers with the leftover money after i fix the bumper.

will post some pics up later

that sucks about the bumper... at least you know a good place to get it fixed. I have a complete rear end of a cutlass just incase something like this ever happens to my cutlass, good bumper, cover, tailights and the fillers, you just never know when the spares may come in handy.

are you just getting it for parts? i hope your cutlass will be fine you did a hell of a job on it

yeah thanks for the offer on your bumper minion, unfortunately its quite a drive at 6 hours. if i cant land anything i'll make the trip, but i have a couple possibilities right now.

Yeah that was the plan, possible parts car. a guy i work with has a cutlass hes trying to get going, so we were gonna split on it. Took a look at it a couple days ago, rear bumper was dented, rotted frame, junk motor and trans. nothing i could really use. interior was super nice, just grey bench seats...

I would try to ship the bumper if i could but I'm not to sure on how the box will hold up to the weight.

Don't box it, wrap it tightly in several sections of cardboard around the center and extra around the corners.
Use lots of packaging tape, cut and fold the cardboard as necessary to ensure that it's snug, and it'll survive...
I UPS'd a wagon rear bumper to Ohio and it got there unharmed, and they are not known for being gentle.

Little update, scored a BRAND NEW set of intrepid fans off craigslist for $60. they are 120 new. got them in today, much better and quieter than the ones i had before for some reason. Also they are 7 blade fans instead of 5.

Still havent picked up a bumper yet. But i did pull out the shock so its not pushed in anymore. I'm thinking i'll just fix it over the winter, so i can try to enjoy it this fall.

I'll put some pics up later.
