Are there any direct replacement 4 speed manual shifters ( saginaw ) available for Gbodys?

What about 5 speed replacements?

Hurst has/had a complete set up for the Saginaw 4 speeds but they discontinued the instalation kit & specific individual parts for that kit. There was never a aftermarket one for the T50 5 speed.

What are you looking for specifically? I have a factory 79 Pontiac/Olds/Buick Hurst 4 speed

shifter and handle I would be willing to sell. I also have the after market Hurst shifter rods for reverse and 1-2. The 3 levers for the after market Hurst are still available new.

I was actually asking about shifters for a friend so I'm not sure exactly what he needs. I told him to post here ( he's a member ) so he can speak for himself. I started this thread because I knew he wouldn't do it himself....

Almost any GM style Hurst Competition Plus will work. I am using a 1968 Firebird unit myself. The key is the installation kit. It has the correct rods and the shifter mount that locates it properly. On our cars it needs to be about 6" forward of the usual tail mount position to clear a bench seat. This is mine after moving it to where it should be.

Response to a PM>"You are welcome. I actually used it because it has a slight offset for use with the 1968 Firebird console. Since I was using a 1977 Firebird console in my Bonnewagon I needed that offset. See how it lines up in the center where I needed it. I will add this to the thread for others to see."
