I put in 5660 with 1/2 coil trimmed off . All cast iron 350. World of difference in handling . I have cc627 cargo coils on back and with my sub box in the back it is perfect stance. Handling is more sports car rather than family car.
Mich, Moog 5658, I dug up some old threads on montesS and turbobuick, these seemed to drop the car1-1.75 inches in most cases. I recall running the 5660's, on my elcamino, but it had a big block. It was low to, nowhere near stock height. The 5658's are like 579 lb/in springs, so a higher rate than the OE or even the F41 (420lb/in) springs. This my be an option.
Can you post a side picture ?I put in 5660 with 1/2 coil trimmed off . All cast iron 350. World of difference in handling . I have cc627 cargo coils on back and with my sub box in the back it is perfect stance. Handling is more sports car rather than family car.
This was right after setting it down but not driven yet. It settled to about 1" gap from top of tire to bottom of fenderwell after driving. But stiffer , so no bottoming out going over rough rr tracks or body roll. Rides good on road. I can get a pic this evening of it settled. 235/60-15 tiresCan you post a side picture ?
What do you have for tires and rims ?
Thanks Jack !!Mich,
My friend Vince has the #5658 springs in his Cutlass wagon. I'll see if he has any side view pics of it so you can get a general idea.
Thank you for taking the time to take those pictures. So many people using so many different springs. Kind of confusing. Also kind of a pain in the *ss. Not like its a five minute job. These are current pics tonight. It didn't settle as much as i thought now that i compare the pics.
