if the wagon looks decent and you give me a good price. I might consider buying it from you and then you need not to worry about it anymore. I even will also consider buying it as a roller. you can then keep the 6.0 SBC that is better than an LS.

Please send me some pictures.

Supposedly those 366 c.i.d BBC's had a forged steel crank that was the same as for a 427. Dad had several of these engines in medium duty (C65, C70) trucks when I was a kid. He was an independent distributor for Borden's milk. Those engines would pull.

I believe the 366 BBC did all come with the 3.76 forged crank but the rest of the engine was far from anything from the performance world with a small bore of 3.935 and low compression tall deck block using a 6.135 rod on a heavy piston with 4 rings and reeving that baby up to a max of 4,500 RPM and you get the bonus of adding the weight of a big block without the benefit of adding cubic inches.

Yeah, don't get me wrong. It was just a truck engine. It did that job well though.

The one I had seen was in a late 60's dump truck, I was surprised to find they made a version of these into the 90's but like you said they did what they were designed for well.

After reading this thread, I need answers from OP hahaha. 5.38, that has to be a typo or a joke. Going to Moab with those low gears? What transmission? If it’s not a troll thread, I hope you find the guy who sold you that engine.
