They make an adapter bracket just for that.
 
ALL will fit, except the 301.

This can not be the correct way installation for this flexplate, right?

The rusted out plug, is it an expansion plug, or something else?

They used Olds engine mounts that they elongated the hole for motor mounts :roll:

YUCK! That was in a car or a swamp? Gonna need some TLC for sure. That flexplate is a small register type that appears to have been "persuaded" onto a large register crank. Probably with a BFH and a chisel. Who did this swap, Fred Flintstone?
 
Yow!! :shock: I hope the internals of that motor look better than the externals... :?
Someone did some serious jury rigging...or backyard engineering.
That flexplate installation is just atrocious. :puke:
