just finished full swap and getting her back on the road. Runs and drives like a champ. Haven't gotten a chance to dyno or anything, but calculations are at about 325-340 hp. Daily driver with mild cam. Transmissions hold at least 500 hp with our upgrades, fully upgraded 700 hp and stock is at 350 hp. I built mine to handle a decent upgrade in engine hp in the future...when the cutlass goes from daily driver to race car. That won't be for a while, if ever...I just love my baby and cruising with her. Gonna bump up hp with a bigger cam & heads sooner or later...really just because I want a serpentine belt setup and need new heads for it lol.

Ok I figured the 500hp mark would be a good guess. I'm making roughly 380hp and 425 to 430lb. This is based on camquest and not with a dyno. I plan on trying a 750 carter afb carb and seeing how the motor responds to it over the 600 eddy carb I have now.

haha yup my estimate is from camquest too. I've got a 650 downjetted a little for now so I get decent performance and gas mileage. You know how to calculate cfm ratings right??

Cubic Inch (350) x Max rpm
Divided by 3456

for example mine was 350x5,500/3456= 560 cfm rating, so 650 was a bit much, but you always go a little higher than calculates to be, rather than starve motor.

pppppppppppffffff! Do I know how to calculate cfm ratings lol. Nope.

One of the things I want to learn along with how to jet a carb. Luckily my old man has a holley book on how to work the jets. I've got a Barry Grant 750cfm that I'm gonna play with for my 71' Roadrunner. Can't wait to get that motor built for that car. Make my malibu look like a 307 cutlass lol

lol just checking
