Got back to cleaning the carb tonight. Yuck!
That's the worst q-jet i ever had apart I guess it's ethanol poisoning. Rust and corrosion I had to soak it just to get the Jets out the rods and tubes are green it's horrible but the bace plate it tight. I'll keep working at it hopefully it will be a carberetor by Saturday morning when I do the registration and trailer it home a friend of mine invited us to a BBQ pool party Saturday a few blocks away and I would love to drive it there

Well I resembled the carb! Wow it's been a long time since I did that. So many stupid mistakes lol but it's together now and it might run I hope it runs it needs to run I only have one weekend left and I am driving it to spread mom's ashes talk about down to the wire!

yes I did it on a pizza box on my wife's dining room table! It was 115 in the shop today and if I did it outside after work I would have had heat stroke hopefully she will get over it lol

I use the kitchen counter and dinning room table when the wife isn't looking.

That where I miss my porch and really miss my attached 37' x 13' garage. I have no kitchen table but our picnic table would work in nice weather. Did you compressed air and hopefully got the little internals passages cleaned out. I am considering running 91 octane Premium in my 70 and maybe the 88 just to have a non ethonal gas. Especially while the price is still low.

Oh and yes I blew it out really well the cleaning process went on all week everything was cleaned and blown out before I brought it in the house

Still waiting for my insurance card so it doesn't look like I'm getting plates tomorrow! I'm going to try anyway I think I can just use my policy number on the paperwork we'll see what happens at DMV hopefully I catch someone there in a good mood that place can be hell!

Well guys I'm ready to give up for the second time today! It's been a bad day somehow I screwed up my back and the pain is killing me. I tried like hell to make progress tho first I destroyed the exaust getting the car off of the trailer I had to winch it back on to cobble it together enough to get the car off then I tried to make it run after Lauren helped me push it in the driveway so far today I tried 3 different carbs and 2 different timing chains spun the distributor 180 3 times I freekin give up! I was going to take it to the scale! But my neighbor talked me out of it. Never in my life have I had this much trouble with a motor what the ..... It's not my first time building a car what stupid thing am I doing wrong!-? I
