It's hard to see but that bushing is scored from the drum wobbling

so that's what I waited 3 months for last summer a pile of junk not worth fixing I have more to post but I just got back home in Jersey and need to get settled in and make a few calls
 
I mean, it looked like he knew how to replace the old parts with new, maybe he's just stupid?
What could cause a steel to get so hot to turn blue? Anyway, it's junk now. I'd just say f*ck it and build one of my own if that happened to me.
 
looks like he just used extra parts he had lying around his shop.... groove patterns don't even match up, and most kits will include new steels....

I hate sack-o-s#&%s like that....

I've had that happen to me before, a bunch. So I've been rebuilding my transmissions. At least if it doesn't work I only have myself to blame.
It's a shame you don't have trustworthy people doing the work you can't see.
