During the week between work 5th grade school project and general life I got some things dun and some parts I ordered came in I bought the cheesy walker crossover pipe it looks like a bendy straw but it's good enough for now. I got my 68 ram rod 350 fender decals and a air cleaner decal also got a 1970 QD for the oil fill tube and intake manifold gaskets. I glass beaded an old set of valve covers the intake manifold the A/C brackets and etch primed them so I'm ready for Saturday

6:30am cold and raining my back is killing me and I'm going to drive 45 minutes to work on my car I thaught it would get easier as I got older. Aha the things we do for our cars

That Walker crossover is probably no worse than the factory one. Those are nice intake gaskets, I have used them before. Hopefully the heads and block have never been milled or good luck fitting them. I could not fit the Mr Gasket Ultraseal intake gaskets with an Edelbrock Performer intake on a stock 76 head and block with the original shim head gaskets. The Edelbrock intake was probably warped like most of them. Not even close to getting the bolts started. With my milled to 55cc #6 heads, I could barely use the turkey tray.

WEEKEND! I am so assembling the motor this weekend! I decided to paint it 70 455 light blue metallic to match the strips and interior hope it comes out nice

I went Duplicolor gold, trying to look more factory for my 70S. My valve covers turned out awful so I am putting on my Edelbrock aluminum covers instead. I usually go Rustoleum aged copper that looks like the late 60's 400 bronze.

I dry fit the intake first it was probably the nicest fit I've ever seen. Luckily I think all my parts are virgin I used #6 heads and an A4 intake that I ported it's not great but it will work for what I'm doing the head gasketsI used were some no name brand I had on a shelf. l've been using a lot of stuff like that stuff that didn't get used of other builds over the last 25 years or so I just hope it all works out

I pondered the color for a wile thaught about good old 350 gold or the stock blue on the 260 I figured the gold would not match anything on the car and the blue makes me think smog pump or worse that other car company. I had a can of 70 455 blue from when I did mine then my brother said he had 2 cans left from when he did his... Sold! She's going light blue metallic

Today's progress was slow but progress nun the less cleaned all the valve train components and installed them had to steel a rocker stand off of the 260 changed all the fittings on the intake and got that huge pipe fitting out of the hole for the heater control valve installed the intake and valve covers and stripped more parts off of the 260 for cleaning glass beading and painting snapped a picture at some point

The stock A4 is probably much straighter. The A4 is a decent intake, I had a Performer on the shelf along with a 4 hole and open 1" spacer. I opened up the 1" spacer a bit more and used it. I also have the Performer RPM but may save that for the 424ci 403 stroker if it ever gets done.

I hear you on that A4 I was surprised at the port Flo for a stock 307 intake it cleaned up quick and easy not a lot of big ugly lumps on the tops of the runners.but what the hell are those tubes in the primary for? Volocity?
