I decided to run a frame-mounted fuel pump and a return-style regulator. I think I'll build a bracket behind the carb to mount the regulator.
I figured this was a good spot for the fuel filter and pump

I ran the 3/8 fuel line up from the driver side frame rail along the firewall next to the throttle cable. It's just long enough not to have to cut it and re-flange the end. Should only need about 8" of rubber line.

The return line on the passenger side is a very long one. It will need to be cut, but I'm not sure where yet. There's no need to bring the metal line up close to the carb anyways. Might cut it down by the frame and run a rubber one up to the regulator.

Yeah I do like to fab lots of heat shields. This car will need a few. I like plastic cuz it doesn't leak or rust.

I'm having a helluva time with the Trans-dapt motor mounts. I'd send them back if I hadn't had to put them on the bench grinder to get them to fit.

Here's my frame stands. I spent the whole day modifying the Trans-dapt mount kit and trying to figure out how to get this to work. Now I just have to drop the engine in, (cut the blue pieces down some, cuz I think they are too long, then put the engine back in) spot weld the blue pcs to the plate steel (that's not bolted in yet), pull the motor out and take the motor mount assembly off and weld it.

Thanks Trans-dapt for making a nearly worthless product

I didn't like those blue ones, just not thick enough to weld to the heavy plates. So I made these instead.

Engine FINALLY going into the engine bay! I had to shave the rearmost coil pack mounting boss on the passenger valve cover due to it nearly punching a hole in my heater box. I think I should have dropped the transmission in along with the engine, it would have helped center things. IDK, maybe I'm wrong about that. Did I mention that G-force crossmember doesn't fit correctly?

These are much better. Should have taken the pic after they were painted.. I got those steel spacers from the stock suspension bushings. I knew I could use them for something!

I read somewhere that the G-body is the easiest Lsx swap. That's a crock. I've got less than 1/4" clearance on the oil pan, the heater box (even with a shaved valve cover!), and the power steering pulley! Now that's tight. You'd think I was trying to stuff this motor into a pedal car or something. Those motor mounts took me 3 days to perfect.

She's in! Just waiting on my new zinctaniumhydrocalciumchloridenitride bellhousing and header bolts to show up

By the way, I've got a hot idea for the taillights on the Riviera.. For those of you who are tired of looking at the *ss end of the car in my sig. Getting rid of the grampa tails and fabbing up something much meaner.

Danke bro. I can't do stuff like some of you guys though. I gotta tear it apart and put it back together and drive it within 6 months or I hang myself. I have friends like you guys that work on cars for 4-5 years.

Did you ever get your crossmember figured out? I was thinking about that when I put mine in. Mine goes kinda diagonal, the driver side being farther forward than the pass side (much like the stock one). But it doesn't fit too well either  But what does any more?
