keep up the good work. looking very nice

Thx, I appreciate it. I want to roll the frame back out in the drive way but it's shitty day outside today.

You probably know this but maybe not since you have not removed it. In the hole closest to the end the metal retainer that was part of the old bushing set up...I can't remember seeing a frame that's in the condition your's is in...it looks like it's just been on a car for a few months, not 33 years

I noticed it but i wasn't sure about it. Thanks for mentioning it. Nothing the ol' air chisel can't handle!

the little notch on the side of the holes were put there so you can pry the metal retainer from the hole without damaging the retainer but at this point the air chisel is a good choice of weapons..

Yeah something tells me it's not going to go quietly, but we'll see when I go back out there today. My respirator filters are shot and I need to buy more before I get back to sanding. It's bad enough that I'm still trying to clear out 16 years of smoking.

No sweat! A couple taps with the air chisel and it popped out.

More to come.....

On another note I know this whole process looks unorthodox as hell since I'm doing this in sections. I'm trying to make due with limited room, limited time and sh*t weather keeping me indoors. This coating is a 3 step process; de-greasing, rust conversion and paint application. Tonight I used a ginormous drip pan while I rinsed the Aqua-Kleen off with a gallon bucket of hot water. It sucks doing it this way but it's getting done. I'd like to be done with the frame before the temp takes a plunge.

How did you get those sill plates so clean?! 8) That's also on the to do list...
